Officine UBU (Ubu Workshop) sets out to combine “craft” and “creative solutions” by constantly searching for and making use of new forms of audiovisual and narrative languages that defy stereotypes.

This is the reason for our transformation: as former Ubu Film, we produced Fame Chimica (The Munchies) and La Spettatrice (The Spectator), two feature films that have met with the approval of audiences, critics and members of the film industry alike, leading Franco Zuliani to the reception of the prestigious FICE (Italian Federation of Independent Cinema) award for auteur film production.

Officine Ubu is the natural evolution of Ubu Film as it seeks to expand its horizons into theater and home video distribution, pursuing the dream of combining commercial demands with high quality projects.

UBU:  a dramatic character created by playwright Alfred Jarry in France in the late 1800s. King UBU, going against stereotype, defies the boundaries and preconceptions of his time, becoming not just the epitome of a new kind of theater, but the very symbol of all creative solutions.
